Plans change. Here is how to ask your agency to cancel or reschedule an upcoming visit. The sooner you tell your agency about a cancellation or reschedule request, the more time they have to adjust the schedule and notify your caregiver. Try to give at least 24 hours notice if possible, though urgent situations are understood. Open the Hailo app and tap the Messages tab. Send a message to your agency with the specific visit date and time you need to change, and explain what you need (cancel entirely, move to a different date, change the time). Your agency will respond and confirm what they can do. For urgent cancellations or rescheduling, calling your agency is faster than messaging. Look for their phone number in your app (in Messages or Profile) or in your original paperwork. A quick call lets them find coverage immediately. Once your agency cancels a visit, it is removed from your calendar. If you rescheduled to a different day, a new visit appears on the new date with the same or an updated caregiver. You will get a notification about the change. If you frequently cancel or reschedule, talk with your agency about adjusting your care plan. They may recommend changing the day, time, or frequency of visits so they match your actual needs better. This helps your agency plan and assign caregivers more reliably.
