If traffic, delays, or unexpected circumstances mean you'll be late, notify your agency immediately so they can communicate with the client and manage expectations. As soon as you know you'll be late, open the Messages tab in the app and send a message to your agency. Be specific: tell them how many minutes late you'll be and why (traffic, car trouble, etc.). For example: 'I'm stuck in traffic and will arrive about 20 minutes late.' Your agency will see your message and can notify the client of the delay. This manages expectations and prevents the client from thinking you won't show up. Your agency may confirm that the delay is acceptable or may ask you to provide a new arrival time. When you reach the client's location, clock in as usual. The app records the actual time you arrived, which will be after the scheduled start time. This shows your agency that you arrived late. Hailo records the time from when you clock in to when you clock out. If you were scheduled for 2 hours starting at 10 AM but arrive at 10:20 AM, your recorded time will reflect the delay. Your agency will see that you arrived late and worked fewer minutes than scheduled. If you need to explain the delay or if the client requests that you make up the time, add a note when you clock out. For example: 'Arrived 15 min late due to traffic. Client asked me to stay 15 minutes longer. Worked full planned duration.' Your agency will see this context.
