When you first open Hailo, the app asks for permission to access certain features on your phone. These permissions let Hailo do its job safely. Here's what each one does and why you need it. What it does: Hailo uses your GPS to confirm you are at the client's address when you clock in and out (part of EVV). How it's used: Only the clock-in location is recorded and shared with your agency. Your location is not tracked between shifts. Why you need it: Electronic visit verification requires location proof to validate the visit. What it does: Sends you alerts about new shifts, schedule changes, messages from your agency, and other updates. How it's used: Notifications appear on your lock screen or in your notification center. You can turn them off in your Profile settings. Why you need it: You won't miss important shift updates or messages from your agency if notifications are off. What it does: Some agencies use camera verification instead of GPS for clock-in. The app may ask to use your camera to take a photo at the client's address. How it's used: The photo is stored with the visit record to prove presence. Why you need it: This is an alternative to GPS for verifying you were at the right place.
