Billing rate (what you charge clients) and pay rate (what you pay caregivers) are independent. Hailo lets you set defaults and override them per client, caregiver, or shift. The caregiver pay default applies to all new caregivers unless they have a specific rate. When you create an invoice, Hailo uses this order to pick the billing rate: per-shift override (highest priority), then the specific client rate, then the care-type rate if configured, then the agency default. The first match wins. Different clients can have different rates even if they receive the same service. This is useful when authorizations, managed care plans, or service agreements set different fees. Update the client record to reflect their agreed rate.
